Cooperation partner

The research cooperation provides a tight linkage between scientists in Germany, which have the experimental and methodological expertise for an innovative feedstuff evaluation, and also with the feed industry and plant breeders. The cooperation allows for investigating the feeding value with its different aspects and to consider the specifics of animal species and bring the results together in a holistic evaluation. A key element is the joint work with standardized grain batches produced and delivered under the Z-project at the Universität Hohenheim. The detailed analytical description of all grain batches used in the project is also centralized in subproject Z, strengthening and ensuring the analytical expertise and ensuring that all subprojects can use the same information for the grain batches.

Another central element of the collaboration is the development of in vitro methods based on data from animal experiments. These in vitro methods allow the processing of a large number of samples, without which, ultimately, the creation of NIRS calibrations is not possible.
